On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, Crippaconcept took part in the Forum Openair 2025 FAITA as an event partner, presenting an important new development: Cocoon, the mobile home suite that evolves the concept of open‑air hospitality through an organic, immersive architectural gesture.

“With Cocoon we celebrate 50 years of experience while looking to the future of glamping and open‑air tourism,” says Sergio Redaelli, CEO of Crippaconcept. “It is not just a mobile home suite, but an organic and emotional piece of architecture that redefines the relationship between living comfort and immersion in nature. The circular veranda is the beating heart of the project: a space that wraps the guest in a protective embrace, inviting them to slow down, to contemplate, to reconnect with the environment and with themselves, in an era when travellers and guests are increasingly seeking authenticity and regenerative experiences.”

50 years of Italian excellence

The presentation of Cocoon marks an important milestone for Crippaconcept: 50 years of activity in the open‑air hospitality sector. This anniversary is celebrated by looking to the future, with architectural solutions that respond to the new needs of experiential and sustainable tourism.

In 2025 Crippaconcept published its second Sustainability Report, strengthening its ESG journey and promoting the adoption of the company’s Code of Ethics. In this context, the 2024 Sustainability Report consolidates the company’s identity, values and vision, confirming its position as a solid and innovative player, committed to balancing economic development, environmental protection and social well‑being.

The Made in Italy certification remains in force, confirming the quality and traceability of its mobile living solutions. In 2025 the company successfully completed environmental certification in accordance with the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) protocol, contributing to the drafting of PCR EPD Italy 039. This now enables Crippaconcept to offer certified mobile homes, a key requirement for accessing tools such as Nuova Sabatini Green and other support measures related to sustainability and environmental innovation.

A Cocoon between architecture and nature

Cocoon stems from the evolution of the Victoria Room model, retaining the internal layout – a double suite with front living area – while completely revolutionising the relationship with the outdoor environment.

At the heart of the project is the circular veranda, inspired by research carried out in partnership with Tissa&Partners and designed by Crippaconcept: no longer a simple transit area, but an experiential threshold that completes the structure and the guest’s stay, enveloping them in a protective and poetic embrace.

“The curved shape of the veranda creates a continuous dialogue between inside and outside,” explains Crippaconcept’s Research and Development team. “The vertical wood, repeated as a visual diaphragm, evokes a reed bed, a forest, a natural shell. Cocoon is an invitation to slow down, to reconnect with nature and with oneself.”

Elegance and flexibility in 34 SQ M

Like Victoria Room, Cocoon also preserves the essence of a high‑end open‑air suite:

  • 34 square metres of elegant, functional interior space
  • Double bedroom with en‑suite bathroom and bright living area
  • Customisable layout, with or without kitchen
  • Fully removable: no foundations, zero consumption of new land

Technological innovation: the smart suite

The version of the new Cocoon suite showcased at the Forum Open Air 2025 FAITA integrates significant IoT technological innovation thanks to collaboration with VDA Telkonet. Inside the mobile home, the Energy Management System optimises comfort and consumption, making Cocoon a truly Smart & Green accommodation that combines the allure of nature with measurable energy efficiency – an intelligent suite that communicates with its surroundings.

“Thanks to our energy‑saving management solutions, we can demonstrate how comfort and sustainability can coexist in harmony. It is the tangible proof that it is possible to combine the quality of the guest experience with efficiency for the property,” says Massimiliano Cognigni, Sales Manager at VDA Telkonet.

A model for the glamping of the future

Cocoon embodies a mature vision of contemporary glamping: an architecture to be contemplated, where the comfort of the suite meets full immersion in nature, where technology becomes invisible in the service of the experience, and where design becomes a true instrument of well‑being.
